One of the global leaders in the financial industry is on the outlook for a Senior Data Architect to join their mixed Data & Analytics team in Amsterdam. You will be responsible for further designing and developing the data platform.

THE ROLE

In this role as a Senior Data Architect, your focus is on developing and improving the existing data infrastructure. To do so, you will work closely together with stakeholder from all levels of the organisation, including IT.

In more detail, the role involves:

  • Being responsible for the data platform and data models
  • Improving the existing data infrastructure to create more efficiency
  • Working closely together with stakeholders across the business, including IT and Scrum teams
  • Working with various technologies like Hadoop, Python, Microsoft Azure and Elasticsearch

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

The successful Senior Data Architect will need:

  • Strong experience with the ETL-tooling
  • Advanced experience with programming languages such as Python or Java
  • Advanced knowledge of data tools like Hadoop, Spark or Microsoft Azure within a commercial environment
  • Knowledge of Scrum/Agile principles
  • At least a bachelor's degree in a technical field e.g. Computer Science, Physics, Maths
  • Fluent in Dutch

As one of the world’s largest economies, Germany continues to attract tech talent from all over the world, and has even overtaken the UK in terms of intra-Europe tech immigration in recent years.
