THE COMPANY

This biotech leader is searching for a Principal Scientist, Bioinformatics to join their team. You will be part of a team that is looking to address the underlying cause of diseases. Work closely with the co-founder and collaborative team.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Develop strategic plans for analyzing NGS data
• Build and maintain bioinformatics applications using AWS
• Manage and develop a team of computational scientists
• Research and propose novel approaches to upregulate gene expression
• Implement bioinformatics pipelines to search for new RNA signatures
• Travel once a month

Skills:

• PhD in Bioinformatics or Computational Biology
• Python
• NGS analysis experience (scRNAsq, bulk RNA, WGS)
• Deep understanding of RNA splicing and RNA protein binding
• Experience developing analytical workflows using snakemake or nextflow
• Data visualization experience
