What You Will Do:
- Design, build, and deploy machine learning models that power our platform and help us deliver high-quality recommendations and insights to our users.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams of data scientists, engineers, and product managers to identify and address critical machine learning challenges.
- Conduct experiments and perform analysis to improve model accuracy and scalability, and to identify new opportunities for growth and innovation.
- Write production-ready code and contribute to our software engineering practices and standards.
- Communicate and present technical findings and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in machine learning and related fields, and continuously apply new knowledge and techniques to our platform.
Qualifications:
- Strong machine learning fundamentals and skills in one or more of the following areas: experimental design, causal inference, machine learning, deep learning, reinforcement learning, and Python.
- Experience with data modeling and analysis, as well as the ability to write production-ready code.
- Ideally, a Ph.D. in a relevant field and a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in machine learning. Desirable qualities include NLP experience, experience with news, and experience in computational journalism.
- A passion for tackling complex, real-world problems and delivering innovative solutions that have a real impact on people's lives.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.

THE ROLE
As a Lead Data Scientist you will…

- Build end to end deep learning algorithms for recommendation, personalization, search, pricing, and more.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
