This leading software provider within the UK are searching for a new Lead Data Engineer, to create end-to-end data pipelines using Python. You will take responsibility for developing the internal infrastructure within the company.

THE ROLE
As a Lead Data Engineer, you will be joining a great working environment with friendly and talented colleagues. You will be responsible for building new data processing pipelines, through Python, focusing on real-time data streaming.
* Taking the lead in building the company’s internal infrastructure
* Work closely with engineering teams to gather data in an AWS platform.
* Work alongside all teams, to ensure high quality of data collection

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
* Commercial experience building platforms on AWS or other cloud platforms
* Strong coding skills in Python
* Knowledge in real-time data streaming

THE COMPANY:

A well-known bank is recruiting for a Senior Business Analyst to work cross-functionally and add value.

THE ROLE:

You can expect to be involved in:

1. Coordinate the end-to-end process and manage stakeholders – collate data and commentaries, review and challenge submission quality, consolidate information and produce the reports
2. Work collaboratively with data owners and Tableau SME(s) to resolve issues, ensuring the reports are prepared to the highest professional standard
3. Communicate requirements and recommend how best to present data and information in the most insightful way (with support from Tableau SMEs on data visualisation)
4. Lead process continuous improvement activities and maintain a strong control environment
5. Proactively plan ahead and carry out wash-up reviews at the end of the cycle

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

1. Comfortable about being a generalist, keenness to maintain a bird-eye view of a large scope of subject matters and keep developing business acumen
2. Professional report writing skills: grammar, spelling, be able to write in a language suitable for an executive audience (and tell what isn’t suitable and recommend amendments); attention to detail; comfortable with numbers and handling multiple small datasets
3. Stakeholder management and diplomacy

* Highly proficient in Python programming
* A good understanding of cloud architecture within AWS.
* Experience in using Spark to process big data.
* An understanding of Snowflake for excellent data management.
* Knowledge of streaming data technologies through tools such as Kafka.
