An exciting opportunity for a Data Engineer to join a general insurance provider to define and deliver their data strategy.

The Company

A fast growing, digitally focused general insurance provider is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to work with the CIO and Heads of Department and lead their team to execute the data road map.

The company offers a range of competitive and uncomplicated products and services, including car, bike, van and home insurance, and additional products like breakdown cover and home legal expenses. They currently have over 3 million customers and intend to increase this to 5 million by 2024.

The role and responsibilities

• Building out end-to-end data pipelines
• Leading 8 data engineers to execute strategic data roadmap
• Design work and working with senior stakeholders

Your skills and experience

• Strong SQL and Python skills (essential)
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferable Azure (essential)
• Experience with Snowflake
• Experience with CI/CD
• Stakeholder management and communication skills
