An exciting opportunity to become the Head of Data within a well-established, large corporation where you will build out their Enterprise Data Platform.

THE COMPANY:

This role is within a rapidly growing international Ecommerce company within the sports industry who are transforming into a more data centric business by building out their data function and investing in a modern tech stack.

THE ROLE:

The successful candidate will manage and lead and manage a team of Data Engineers and DataOps specialists to build a next-gen data infrastructure for the business.

In particular, this role will involve:

• Data management and leadership duties.
• Defining and owning the new greenfield data platform.
• Ensuring best practice with a strong technical understanding of next-gen tech.
• Collaborating with other team members and stakeholders across cultural and physical boundaries.

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Strong commercial experience in Data/Software Engineering.
• Experience designing scalable cloud data architectures, using a data lake. (Ideally in Microsoft Azure/SQL)
• Experience working in agile methodologies.
• The ability to deal with data privacy issues and management.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
