The Role
We're hiring a Staff Backend Engineer to help architect and build the core systems that power the platform. You'll work closely with engineering leadership, contribute to critical design decisions, and play a key role in scaling the backend infrastructure to support rapid growth.
What You'll Do
- Design and implement robust, scalable backend systems using Python and modern cloud tooling.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build APIs, data pipelines, and core services.
- Improve system reliability, observability, and performance across the backend stack.
- Contribute to architectural planning and mentor junior engineers on backend best practices.
- Work within a modern environment leveraging Python, AWS, Postgres, and event-driven architectures.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Work closely with product managers and engineers to align on business goals, define machine learning challenges, and design effective ML solutions.

Maintain a robust codebase by writing well-tested code, covering both functional and non-functional aspects such as unit, integration, and load testing.
