Fully Remote

This global company is seeking an individual who is ready to combine their data ops experience with their software to join their growing team.

THE COMPANY

This renowned pharmaceutical manufacturing company is conducting life-changing work in its innovative solutions for vaccines and specialty medicines. Their data & analytics practice is essential to their development and global reach!

THE ROLE

  • Deliver high-performing, high-impact data framework products and services
  • Produce well-engineered software, including appropriate automated test suites, technical documentation, and operational strategy
  • Provide input into the roadmaps of upstream teams (e.g., Data Platforms, DataOps, DevOps) to help improve the overall program of work
  • Ensure consistent application of platform abstractions to ensure quality and consistency with respect to logging and lineage
  • Adhere to QMS framework and CI/CD best practices and helps to guide improvements to them that improve ways of working
  • Individually contribute to the role while simultaneously communicating to managers and developers about performance and projects

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Deep knowledge and use of at least one common programming language: e.g., Python, Scala, Java, including toolchains for documentation, testing, and operations/observability
  • Experience with pipeline orchestration
  • Cloud experience (GCP PREFERRED) including infrastructure-as-code
  • Experience with DevOps-forward ways of working
  • Deep expertise in modern software development tools/ways of working (e.g.,git/GitHub, DevOps tools, metrics/monitoring, ...
  • Application experience of CI/CD implementations using git and a common CI/CD stack (e.g.,Jenkins, CircleCI, GitLab, Azure DevOps)
  • Deep familiarity with the tools, techniques, etc of modern data engineering (e.g., Spark, Kafka, Storm) and orchestration (e.g.,Google Workflow, AirFlow Composer), including engagement with the open-source community (and potentially making contributions to such tools)

NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience with Hadoop/Hive
  • GCP Certified (Data Engineer or Cloud)
