We are seeking an R&D Data Scientist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of AI, computer vision, and satellite data, with a focus on designing and implementing machine learning models for high-impact federal projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, train, and deploy state-of-the-art machine learning and deep learning models using frameworks like PyTorch and TensorFlow.
  • Design and test algorithms that analyze satellite imagery and related geospatial data.
  • Perform advanced computer vision and generative AI research, focusing on image processing and feature extraction.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver technical solutions aligned with federal government objectives.
  • Document and present findings, methodologies, and results to stakeholders, including non-technical audiences.
  • Stay up-to-date with advancements in AI, computer vision, and deep learning to apply cutting-edge techniques to projects.
  • Occasionally travel (up to 15%) to meet with team members, stakeholders, and government partners.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience working with machine learning and deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow).
  • Strong programming skills in Python and experience with relevant libraries (e.g., NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn).
  • Expertise in computer vision, generative AI, and image processing.
  • Experience working with satellite or geospatial data is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with algorithm development and testing, particularly for analyzing complex datasets.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance (active clearance is highly preferred).
  • Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
