The Role:
As an Infrastructure Security Engineer you will be tasked with building and maintaining their cloud infrastructure and deploy their AI platform for their Federal customers.
- Support the company's efforts to achieve FedRAMP and CMMC accreditation
- Implement security hardening measures and best practices
- Secure application containers for DoD and enterprise deployment
- Strengthen security for cloud-based Linux and Windows instances
- Collaborate with the Cybersecurity team and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to meet accreditation standards
- Work with DevOps, Engineering, and Product teams to integrate security throughout the development process
- Perform regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing
- Address security incidents, conduct root cause analyses, and apply corrective measures
- Implement and oversee security monitoring, detection, and response systems
- Stay informed about current security trends, threats, and technologies. Monitor and manage security incidents and vulnerabilities in AWS environments
- Assist with preparing and submitting security documentation for DoD contracts and audits
Your Skills and Experience:
- AWS Certified Security - Specialty or equivalent AWS certifications.
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or similar credentials.
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, and HIPAA
- Experience with AWS EKS Kubernetes administration and security
- Proficiency in using Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to manage AWS services
- Knowledge of Helm and Kustomize for Kubernetes management
- Experience running and addressing Static Application Security Testing (SAST) scans; familiarity with SonarQube
- Understanding of Platform One deployment infrastructure
- Knowledge of Iron Bank container hardening processes
- Practical experience with automation and DevSecOps practices
- Experience in security incident response and forensic analysis in cloud environments
- Active security clearance or the ability to obtain one
