Overview:

Our client, a nationally recognized organization focused on large-scale service delivery, is seeking a Head of Data & Analytics to lead their centralized data team. This is a high-impact, highly visible leadership role for someone who can bring structure, strategy, and forward-thinking vision to a fast-paced environment undergoing digital and analytical transformation.

The Role:

This position will oversee both analytics and data science leaders, serving as the strategic and operational head of enterprise-wide data efforts. You'll work cross-functionally with senior leadership to establish scalable reporting frameworks, drive data literacy across departments, and modernize the org's analytics infrastructure-including automation, self-service tools, and AI exploration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and grow a multidisciplinary data team, including managers of analytics and data science.
  • Build strong relationships with executive stakeholders to identify needs and proactively develop solutions.
  • Create and implement a forward-looking analytics roadmap that supports organizational goals and operational scale.
  • Champion data quality, efficiency, and governance across systems and teams.
  • Translate insights into clear recommendations for both technical and non-technical audiences (executives, sponsors, and board-level stakeholders).
  • Drive innovation by exploring AI, automation, and modern BI tools to enhance delivery.

Ideal Profile:

  • 10+ years in enterprise analytics or data science, with 4+ years leading teams.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; able to engage with C-level leaders confidently.
  • Comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-changing environments where priorities shift daily.
  • Background across multiple industries is preferred; public sector experience is a plus but not required.
  • Highly proactive-someone who brings ideas forward vs. waiting for direction.
