Overview:

This role is situated within the Data Science and Digital Health organization, focusing on a GenAI project that gained visibility from leadership as a "proof of concept." The project involves creating a chatbot using specific GenAI models and implementing retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems.

Example Project:

The task involves synthesizing information from multiple case studies and documents, sourced from academic and internal research, to create a unified response. The challenge lies in connecting disparate documents and utilizing GenAI to answer questions like identifying common adverse events across different case studies.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop user-friendly interfaces and document loaders for efficient document management.
  • Implement document parsing and annotation features to enhance system functionality.
  • Build back-end GenAI processing and indexing components for improved knowledge retrieval and search capabilities.
  • Establish evaluation criteria and collaborate with client management to ensure project success.

Skills Needed:

  • Strong expertise in GenAI pipelines.
  • Proficiency in various language models (LLM) such as GPT-4, BERT, or LLAMA.
  • Experience with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems and orchestrator agent or LLM chains.
  • Langchain integration proficiency.
  • Python programming skills.
  • Web development using Streamlit/Chainlit, and leveraging APIs for integrating various system components.
  • Knowledge of cloud storage services (Azure Blob or AWS S3) and seamless integration with document management systems.
  • Experience with template-agnostic PDF parsers, document segmentation, tagging techniques, and content modalities (Paragraphs, Tables, Pictures/Graphs).
  • Familiarity with database management systems, such as Weaviate DB, vector search algorithms, and LLM embedding layers.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills to meet Ground Truth Evaluation approach, Faithfulness Score, and Relevancy Score project evaluation criteria.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with clients, team members, and designated management personnel.
