Compensation: $180,000-$235,000 base + performance bonus + RSUs

An innovative and mission-driven eCommerce company is looking for a Director of Engineering to lead its technical strategy, drive innovation, and grow a high-performing engineering team. This is a key leadership role with the opportunity to shape the future of a fast-growing, ethical, and data-driven business.

What You'll Do

  • Lead & Develop Teams: Build and mentor a collaborative, high-performing engineering team.
  • Own Product Development: Oversee the entire software development lifecycle, ensuring high-quality delivery.
  • Drive Innovation: Define and implement scalable architecture while adopting modern technologies and frameworks.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with marketing, product, design, and other teams to align technical initiatives with business goals.
  • Optimize Performance: Establish metrics, monitor systems, and ensure continuous improvement.
  • Manage Vendors: Oversee relationships with external vendors and manage budgets effectively.

Key Projects

  • Lead a Shopify migration to a next-generation eCommerce platform.
  • Enhance digital experiences with better UX, visualization tools, and omnichannel capabilities.
  • Build scalable data infrastructure and manage integrations with platforms like Salesforce, NetSuite, and Snowflake.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience:
    • 5+ years of leadership and 8+ years in engineering (eCommerce required).
    • Expertise with platforms like Shopify, BigCommerce, or Salesforce Commerce Cloud.
    • Strong knowledge of web technologies (ReactJS, TypeScript, NodeJS a plus).
    • Integration experience with systems like ERP, CDPs, and data warehouses.
    • Understanding of eCommerce trends, UX/UI, and digital marketing strategies.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strategic thinker with strong leadership and communication skills.
    • Proven ability to manage vendors and budgets effectively.
    • Agile development experience (Scrum/Kanban).
