RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities for Director of Analytics:

  • Provide thought leadership for customer and marketing analytics, generating deep and actionable insights, surfacing new trends in marketing metrics and measurement, and driving effectiveness and efficiency
  • Develop a vision and roadmap to create best-in-class analytics and reporting capabilities
  • Build a global marketing efficiency and effective strategy and framework including media mix modeling, marketing attribution, and experimentation
  • Standardize KPIs, dashboards, data sources, etc. for simplicity, scale, and cost optimization
  • Develop a strategy for data enrichment opportunities across marketing data in line with data governance and ethics standards
  • Effectively translate and communicate outputs in the form of actionable insights and recommendations for cross-functional teams and leadership to enable strategic and tactical decision making
  • Provide expert consultation to senior leaders, driving priorities based on a holistic view of marketing, and providing analytics insights that enable informed decisions
  • Lead and grow a team of marketing analysts by recruiting, training, and developing the team

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Management Information Systems (graduate degree a plus) and 10+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Strong knowledge of data architecture with technical skills in big data, data warehousing, and analytics tech stacks
  • Experience managing compliance requirements and programs to protect sensitive data, including SOX, GDPR, CCPA, BCP/DR, etc.
  • Knowledge and experience in paid media measurement, attribution, media mix modeling, A/B and multivariate testing, creative testing, and user segmentation
  • Strong business acumen to translate data capabilities into outcomes that align with business objectives and support real-time decision making
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple competing initiatives, set clear team objectives, and manage complex cross-functional relationships including C-suite level stakeholders
  • Assertive, adaptable, and demonstrating initiative in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
  • Highly analytical with strong communication skills and the ability to communicate highly complex information in clear and simple language
  • Ability to take ambiguous problems and solve them in a structured, hypothesis-driven, data-supported way.
