This real estate tech company helps individuals buy properties and invest in real estate, both in their city and beyond. Their platform allows investors, first-time home buyers, and more to find, purchase, rent, manage, and sell single-family rental properties fully remote. Help make real estate investment easy and accessible!

THE ROLE

As Director of Data Science and Analytics, you'll play an active role in all major business decision-making processes and bring data to solve the business's toughest problems. Your team's work will help answer important questions from property services, construction, leasing, portfolio management, accounting, and more! You can expect to be doing the following…

  • Leading, mentoring, and growing a best-in-class analytics team (currently 3, growing to 6 in the near future)
  • Acting as a senior thought leader at the company by establishing a culture of data science excellence, and bringing your team's skills to bear as a critical partner in all business aspects
  • Collaborate with leadership and stakeholders on initiatives to grow the company across multiple verticals simultaneously including property services, construction, leasing, portfolio management, accounting, and more
  • Introduce, expand, and guide novel approaches to data analysis and insight-based decision making as a data science domain expert for the company
  • Democratize data-driven decision making by empowering all teams with the education, guidance, and tools needed to make more data informed decisions

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelors' degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or a relevant field; Masters degree preferred
  • 10+ years of relevant industry experience
  • A strong foundation with technical skills including, but not limited to, SQL, Python, a data visualization tool, A/B testing, Multivariate testing, statistical modeling techniques
  • Excellent ability to prioritize competing initiatives, set clear team objectives, and manage relationships with executive team
  • Confidence to lead in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities, clear and concise communication skills
