THE ROLE
· Deliver high-performing, high-impact data framework products and services
· Mentor junior engineers and coordinate their work on large projects
· Devise useful metrics to ensure customers' demands are met
· Deliver and improve on metrics in an agile manner
· Individually contribute to the role while simultaneously communicating to managers and developers about performance and projects
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
A successful Data Platform Engineer within this role will likely have the following skills and experience:
· 5+ years' experience as a Data Engineer with a background in Software Development
· Experience in writing production with programming languages (Python, Scala, Java)
· Background in building data solutions and complex software and writing queries within SQL
· Deep understanding in utilizing production data tools like Kafka, Spark, Airflow, and Redshift
NICE TO HAVE
· Experience with Hadoop/Hive
· GCP Certified (Data Engineer or Cloud)

THE ROLE
You will be doing the following daily:
- Develop, maintain, and optimise transaction and payment fraud strategies across the business.
- Maximize fraud detection rates while minimising false positives.
- Enhance fraud mitigation for all card payments, including Apple Pay and Google Pay, with a focus on phishing attacks and fraudulent card provisioning requests.
- Implement fraud prevention tools and tactical changes in collaboration with IT and Operations teams.
- Create and maintain a comprehensive reporting suite to meet both internal fraud monitoring and external regulatory reporting requirements.
- Utilise a variety of analytical and visualisation tools and techniques.
