Job Description:

We are seeking an Applied Scientist with expertise in computer vision to join our team in Santa Monica, CA. The Applied Scientist will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying state-of-the-art computer vision models and algorithms to support our products and services. The Applied Scientist will work closely with our engineering, product, and design teams to create data-driven solutions that meet our customer's needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and deploy state-of-the-art computer vision models and algorithms to support our products and services
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform product development
  • Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and workflows to support data-driven decision making
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, identify opportunities for computer vision solutions, and implement those solutions
  • Conduct experiments to test hypotheses and evaluate model performance
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field with a focus on computer vision
  • 3+ years of experience designing, developing, and deploying computer vision models and algorithms
  • Strong programming skills in Python, C++, or other programming languages commonly used in computer vision
  • Experience with computer vision libraries such as OpenCV, TensorFlow, or PyTorch
  • Experience with facial recognition, 3D vision, or 3D meshes
  • Strong mathematical knowledge and experience with linear algebra, optimization, and signal processing
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or matplotlib
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with natural language processing
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Cassandra
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies
