Job Title: Agile Data Project Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking an Agile Data Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of data-centric projects within an Agile framework. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating the Data Team Leads and cross-functional teams, managing project timelines, and ensuring that project objectives align with the firm's strategic goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data management, Agile methodologies, and project management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage data projects from inception to completion within an Agile environment.
- Facilitate the definition of project scope and deliverables in collaboration with the Data Programme Manager, Data Team Leadership, and key Business Stakeholders.
- Develop project plans, including timelines, tasks, dependencies, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate Data Team Leads and cross-functional teams throughout the project lifecycle within a DevOps environment.
- Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outcomes.
- Monitor and report on project progress to all stakeholders using clear and effective metrics.
- Align Data Team Leads around project management best practices, including risk management and reporting.
- Maintain and communicate an accurate Risks, Issues, and Dependencies Log.
- Foster a collaborative work environment that aligns and incentivizes the Data Team Leads.
Qualifications:
- Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP) or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification preferred.
- Prince 2 or PMP practitioner certification is desirable.
- Proven experience as an Agile Project Manager leading data-focused projects within an Agile environment.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban.
- Experience leading agile project delivery in a DevOps environment.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software tools.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

The individual in this role will ensure adherence to the enterprise data governance framework, which covers data policies, standards, and practices, in order to achieve the necessary levels of consistency and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Enforcing the data governance framework, which includes ownership, onboarding, standards, rules, and processes.
- Leading data governance committees to ensure decision-making around data evolves to meet business needs.
- Collaborating with technology and architecture teams to manage changes within the data catalog and data quality.
- Creating and agreeing on metrics to measure data governance and quality, providing actionable insights to drive a proactive approach.
- Training and educating data stewards and owners on data governance and quality management practices through the governance framework.
