SOLUTIONS ARCHITECT - SPORTS INDUSTRY

LONDON

Company

Our client is a globally recognised sports and entertainment organisation with a rich history and a passionate international fanbase. Known for their commitment to innovation, community, and excellence, they're undergoing a transformative journey to redefine how they engage with millions of supporters around the world. With a forward-thinking leadership team and major investment in their commercial and digital capabilities, this is a unique opportunity to join one of the most exciting brands in the industry.

The Role

We're recruiting for a Solution Architect - Data to lead the development and execution of cutting-edge, scalable data solutions that will underpin a new era of global supporter engagement. This pivotal role will sit at the intersection of technology, marketing, and commercial strategy, helping shape the future of how data drives decision-making and personalisation at scale.

As the architect of a modern data ecosystem, you'll own the end-to-end design and implementation of enterprise-level data infrastructure across platforms including Azure, Databricks, Tableau, Cortex (CDP), and MS Dynamics. You'll be the bridge between stakeholders and delivery teams, turning complexity into clarity and leading a high-performing team and partner network to deliver against ambitious goals.

This is more than just a technical leadership role - it's a chance to set direction, inspire a growing team, and leave a legacy by building a scalable, efficient, and intelligent data function from the ground up.

Your Experience

We're looking for someone who brings:

  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise-scale data architecture, ideally within a cloud-native environment (Azure highly desirable).

  • Proven leadership of cross-functional data teams (internal and external), delivering complex projects through collaboration and accountability.

  • Deep expertise in data modelling, data flow design, and API-based data integration - including experience with GraphQL for real-time access.

  • Hands-on technical knowledge across data platforms and tools including Databricks, Tableau, CDPs, and CRM systems such as MS Dynamics.

  • A strategic mindset combined with the ability to get into the detail - this role blends vision with execution.

  • Strong communication skills - you can translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences and influence at all levels.

  • A background in marketing, CRM, or supporter/customer analytics is a plus but not essential.

The Benefits

This is an opportunity to work for an iconic organisation at a moment of transformation. You'll enjoy:

  • Leading a high-impact team at the forefront of a new global data strategy.

  • Working with best-in-class tools and technologies in a modern Azure-first architecture.

  • A culture that values innovation, autonomy, and continuous learning.

  • The chance to shape and deliver solutions that make a real difference to how millions of fans connect with something they love.

  • Competitive salary and a compelling benefits package.
