THE COMPANY

This international organisation are looking for a Senior Data Governance Analyst to work within their growing Data team. Since their establishment they have won multiple awards and are now looking to grow their data function. This is a really exciting opportunity to be part of a greenfield working environment and work across a variety of projects.

THE ROLE

In this you will be instrumental in developing and implementing a comprehensive data governance framework. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data policies, standards, and procedures, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and industry best practices. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned data governance professional who is passionate about shaping the data landscape of a forward-looking organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a robust data governance framework, including policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and document data quality standards and metrics.
  • Establish and enforce data governance best practices to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance.
  • Lead efforts to classify and categorize data assets, and implement access controls based on sensitivity.
  • Oversee data stewardship programs, ensuring accountability for data quality and ownership.
  • Collaborate with IT and business units to implement and monitor data governance initiatives.
  • Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies related to data governance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Management, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in data governance, data management, or a related role.
  • In-depth understanding of data governance principles, practices, and industry standards.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to data, such as GDPR, HIPAA, or other industry-specific standards.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and drive change.
  • Experience in implementing data governance tools and technologies is a plus.
