As a Senior Credit Risk Strategy Manager, you will be responsible for driving the strategy informed by insights and analysis from your team of credit risk analysts. They need a strong leader who can galvanize the team and drive an agenda and keep morale high.

THE ROLE

  • Leadership: Lead a team of technical credit risk managers. Effective leadership is a keep component of this role
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Ability to communicate with senior stakeholder and have difficult conversations, knowing how to push back and get buy-in appropriately
  • Strategy Formulation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement effective credit risk strategies that balance risk and reward, optimizing customer outcomes and credit performance.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and potential areas of risk exposure, translating findings into actionable insights.
  • Performance Monitoring: Establish and monitor key credit risk performance indicators, proactively identifying areas for improvement and taking appropriate remedial actions.
  • Policy Development: Develop and maintain credit risk policies, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory guidelines.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience driving credit risk strategies within the lending, energy or telecoms industries
  • Natural leadership with a history of building a strong team environment
  • Extensive experience in data-drive decision making
  • Familiarity with credit risk regulations, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis using tools such as SQL, Python, R or similar.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
