Exciting opportunity here with an established bank. This role is brand new to the business and plays a pivotal role in informing portfolio analytics and strategy across their full product offering
THE COMPANY
This company is a successful UK bank who are continuing to grow. As a specialist lender, this bank has a clear focus and mission and are seeking an experienced candidate to join the team. This role offers the rare opportunity to take a hands-on role within their analytics team and work across the full suite of products, with the opportunity to coach and lead a team of analysts without having to formally line manage.
THE ROLE
Within this role, you would be working on:
- Monitoring and analysing customer portfolio data to spot trends and anomalies
- Working with a team of analysts to enhance wider credit policies across the bank
- Driving innovation and modernisation across the bank
- Identifying opportunities for growth of the book with wider market insight and reporting
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Essential to have a background in consumer lending
- Essential to have had experience working with Mortgage products
- Prior work in credit risk or fraud/financial crime reporting, BAU work and broader data analysis is key
- Essential to have had experience driving insight into large data sets and presenting this to senior stakeholders
- Educated to at least degree level, in a numerate discipline

The individual in this role will ensure adherence to the enterprise data governance framework, which covers data policies, standards, and practices, in order to achieve the necessary levels of consistency and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Enforcing the data governance framework, which includes ownership, onboarding, standards, rules, and processes.
- Leading data governance committees to ensure decision-making around data evolves to meet business needs.
- Collaborating with technology and architecture teams to manage changes within the data catalog and data quality.
- Creating and agreeing on metrics to measure data governance and quality, providing actionable insights to drive a proactive approach.
- Training and educating data stewards and owners on data governance and quality management practices through the governance framework.
