THE COMPANY

A major UK retail bank is looking for a Senior Analytics Manager to help drive data-driven decision-making across key banking products. This role sits within a specialist analytics team that supports business growth by optimising risk strategies, pricing, customer lifetime value, and marketing analytics. With access to vast datasets and a strong emphasis on commercial impact, this position offers the opportunity to influence key strategic initiatives.

THE ROLE

As a Senior Analytics Manager, you will play a key role in delivering analytical insights that enhance customer engagement, improve risk management, and optimise product offerings. The role involves a combination of hands-on technical work, stakeholder management, and (if applicable) team leadership.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading analytical projects focused on risk, pricing strategies, and customer lifetime value.
  • Conducting segmentation, customer analytics, and marketing effectiveness evaluations.
  • Developing and refining affordability models and first-line risk strategies.
  • Applying commercial analytics to assess return on investment (ROI), profitability, and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Supporting digital transformation efforts through personalisation and customer retention strategies.
  • Using SQL, SAS, or Python to extract, manipulate, and analyse large datasets.
  • Managing a team of analysts, while maintaining a hands-on approach when required.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

The successful Senior Analytics Manager will have the following skills and experience:

  • Strong experience in insight-driven analytics, including segmentation, customer lifetime value, and marketing/product analytics.
  • Proficiency in SQL, SAS, or Python (one is sufficient).
  • Strong commercial awareness, with experience in ROI, profitability, and cost analysis.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate data insights into strategic recommendations.
  • Experience managing small teams while maintaining a hands-on approach.

THE BENEFITS

The successful Senior Analytics Manager will receive a salary between £85,000 and £95,000, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
