Opportunity Overview

A leading financial services organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Acquisition Marketing Consultant to drive the end-to-end customer acquisition strategy across multiple distribution channels. This is a high-impact interim role within a growing commercial function, ideal for a commercially minded leader with strong expertise in regulated-industry marketing and multi-channel acquisition.

You will shape and deliver the organisation's customer acquisition plan, working closely with channel owners, commercial stakeholders, and external partners. This role provides significant ownership within a rapidly expanding credit products portfolio, offering exposure to both strategic leadership and hands-on delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of the customer acquisition plan across all distribution channels, including partnerships.

  • Champion the acquisition strategy internally, influencing investment decisions and ensuring prioritised initiatives are delivered effectively.

  • Identify, assess, and implement new opportunities to drive incremental acquisition volumes (e.g., marketing channels, partner propositions, commercial initiatives).

  • Own the Financial Promotions approval process, ensuring all marketing activity meets regulatory standards.

  • Act as the senior point of contact for acquisition performance reporting, presenting insights and upcoming activities to stakeholders up to C-suite level.

  • Support channel leads with value proposition development, pricing, and promotional strategies.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise application journeys, conversion rates, and commercial effectiveness.

Essential Experience & Skills

  • Strong background in marketing within a regulated environment (ideally consumer credit or broader financial services), with solid understanding of Financial Promotions requirements.

  • Highly analytical, confident working with diverse data sources including digital analytics, channel performance data, risk insights and usage of tools such as SQL, Google Analytics and Tableau.

  • Proven experience across a broad set of marketing channels: aggregators/comparison sites and digital (search, social, display).

  • Deep understanding of customer application and conversion journeys, including optimisation best practices.

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, able to communicate clearly and influence at senior levels internally and externally.

  • Demonstrated ability to coach and develop team members.

  • Experience building acquisition forecasts and commercial plans.
