SAS MODELLER/DATA SCIENTIST

THE ROLE

You can be expected to carry out the following day-to-day tasks in the role:

  • Conduct a comprehensive assessment, enhancement, continuous monitoring, and comprehensive reporting of the company's risk profile.
  • Examine and evaluate new business prospects while suggesting modifications to existing products.
  • Cultivate expertise and provide assistance for initiatives related to Credit and Residual Value Risk Management.
  • Execute data quality assessments on newly acquired datasets.
  • Formulate, deliver, and substantiate insights and recommendations when presenting to committees and stakeholders.
  • Foster and sustain efficient communication channels both within the organisation and externally.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Strong and relevant exposure to creating, implementing, and testing statistical models is needed.
  • You must have experience using either SAS, R or Python.
  • You should be proficient in crafting role-specific operational plans and detailed project-level plans.
  • You must have strong written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction and presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
  • You must be an exceptional relationship builder, skilled in building robust working relationships with stakeholders, colleagues, and business partners.
  • You must demonstrate sound time management abilities, consistently meeting prescribed deadlines.
  • You must have a strong numerate degree.
