THE ROLE

You will be part of the Banks renowned Risk division, part of the Provisions and Forecasting team, responsible for estimating credit loss reserves and forecasting future credit losses across a various different scenarios and geographies. The role focuses on DOD (definition of default) engines, overseeing the engines produce the correct DOD outputs, whilst also implementing new models into the engine with SAS/SQL, ensuring the models and outputs are subject to the correct documentation and governance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will work across Model Maintenance as well as DOD (definition of default), supporting the provisioning and forecasting team on the validation and calibration of IFRS9 models, implementing changes with SAS/SQL
  • Use SAS and SQL to analyse models from an infrastructure point of view, ensuring correct model governance is upheld and adhered to allowing provisioning and forecasting models to run correctly and optimally.
  • Engage with different teams across the Bank such as Collections, Portfolio Management, and Forecasting reviewing and challenging the next generation credit risk provisioning models.

KEY SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong SAS/SQL programming skills
  • Strong experience and understanding of IFRS9 provisions.
  • Commercial experience building and running models in, such as PD, LGD, EAD.
  • Experience working in Financial Service Institution.
