Lead Payments Data Scientist (12 month FTC)

Up to £100,000

London (Hybrid, 3 days per week)

Company:

Join an audio streaming and media service as part of their e-commerce analytics team handling over 1 billion transactions annually.

They are looking for a Lead Payments Data Scientist to lead a team overseeing the development and maintenance of systems using data modelling and visualisation tools.

Responsibilities:

  • Gain insights into payments performance and identify optimisation opportunities
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Product Insights and Business Analytics teams to understand and drive strategic data initiatives
  • Create a self-serve data environment using data modelling and visualisation tools
  • Oversee the development and maintenance system, updating on payments related incidents.
  • Monitor and track key performance indicators updating teams with insights on optimisation initiatives and challenges.
  • Being hands working a substantial amount of individual contributor work.

Requirements:

  • MSc or PhD Degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, Statistics or related fields.
  • Strong coding skills in Python and SQL
  • Experience with dashboard visualisation tools such as Tableau and Looker
  • Excellent communication skills effective in working with cross functional teams and managing stakeholders' expectations
  • Industry specific experience
