We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Data Scientist to join one of the most reputable technology companies.

As the Lead Data Scientist, you will play a pivotal role in leading our data science initiatives, driving innovation, and delivering impactful solutions on the GCP. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, guide a team of talented data scientists, and shape our data strategy to unlock the full potential of our client's data assets.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of data science solutions on the Google Cloud Platform.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of data scientists, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including clients, business analysts, and engineers, to understand business objectives and translate them into data-driven solutions.
  • Develop and apply advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to solve complex business problems, optimize processes, and drive actionable insights.
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis, data mining, and feature engineering to uncover patterns and trends in large datasets.
  • Design and build scalable, reliable, and efficient data pipelines, utilizing GCP tools and services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, and Pub/Sub.
  • Ensure the quality, accuracy, and validity of data by implementing data governance practices and conducting rigorous testing and validation.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in data science, machine learning, and cloud technologies, and identify opportunities to leverage emerging tools and techniques.
  • Provide guidance and expertise in data visualization and storytelling to effectively communicate findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or Ph.D. degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience as a Data Scientist, with a proven track record of delivering data-driven solutions and leading data science projects.
  • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, including BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, AI Platform, etc.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, R, or Scala, and expertise in machine learning libraries and frameworks.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis, data mining, and machine learning techniques, including classification, regression, clustering, time series analysis, etc.
  • Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau, Looker, or Data Studio.
  • Solid understanding of data engineering principles, data modeling, and ETL processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and the ability to work on multiple projects with competing priorities.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Google Cloud Certifications (e.g., Professional Data Engineer, Professional Machine Learning Engineer).
  • Experience with large-scale distributed computing frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark, Hadoop) and streaming data processing (e.g., Apache Kafka).
  • Familiarity with deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and natural language processing (NLP) techniques.
  • Publications or contributions to the data science and machine learning community.
