We are seeking an experienced Data Architect / Data Modeler to design and implement a robust, scalable data model based on Intercom data, for a technology provider based in London. This role will involve close collaboration with data engineers, product managers, and business analysts to transform raw data into a well-structured, actionable model that supports analytics, reporting, and business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Understanding & Analysis: Analyze Intercom data (conversations, user profiles, events, tags) and document structure, dependencies, and data flows.
- Data Model Design: Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models optimized for scalability and efficiency.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with product managers and engineers to align the model with business needs and existing infrastructure.
- Documentation: Produce ERDs, data dictionaries, schema definitions, and clear technical documentation.
- Implementation Support (Nice to Have): Assist engineers in implementing the model, ensuring data quality and integrity.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong expertise in Intercom's data structure (Must Have)
- Data Modeling & Design: Experience in designing scalable, optimized data models for analytics and operational workflows.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, BigQuery, and DBT (Nice to Have)
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and ability to work cross-functionally.
- Experience with event-based or real-time data modeling (Nice to Have)
Deliverables:
- Blueprint of the Data Model (conceptual, logical, and physical models)
- Detailed Documentation (ERDs, schema descriptions, data dictionaries)
- Implementation Plan for engineering teams
- Validation Reports ensuring data integrity and usability
