In this role, you will design, build, and maintain the systems and architectures that support large-scale data collection, storage, and analysis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Architecture Design: Design and implement scalable, robust data architectures to meet organizational needs, translating business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Data Integration: Develop ETL processes to integrate data from diverse sources into a unified data lake, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  • Data Management: Optimize database and datamart designs, including schema, indexing, and performance tuning, while maintaining data security and access controls.
  • Data Modeling: Create and maintain data models that effectively represent data structures and relationships.
  • Data Pipeline Development: Build and maintain automated data pipelines to ensure seamless data flow and availability.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Reporting & Analytics teams and other stakeholders to deliver solutions that align with business objectives.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for processes, workflows, and data dictionaries.
  • Technological Evaluation: Stay informed about emerging technologies and evaluate their relevance to the organization's data strategies.

Key Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 3+ years as a Data Engineer.
  • Strong expertise in relational data structures, theories, principles, and practices.
  • Proficiency in SQL, data transformation, and modeling tools.
  • Proven experience in building large-scale Data Lakes, Delta Lakes, and Data Warehouses.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud technologies, particularly Azure (Data Factory, Data Lake, Databricks, Synapse, DevOps). Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric is a strong plus.
  • Proficiency in tools for data ingestion and transformation (e.g., SQL, Spark, Python).
  • Familiarity with other cloud platforms (e.g., Google Cloud, AWS, Databricks, Snowflake) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of the insurance industry or equivalent sectors is an advantage.
