Financial Risk Oversight Manager

This an exciting role at a fast-paced digital bank with a broad scope and huge opportunities to learn and develop. This is a hands-on role providing analysis, oversight and assurance of a portion of the bank's financial risks (detailed below) and undertaking data and scenario analysis on the same.

The bank is looking for an analytical candidate with experience in one of these areas and some knowledge of the other two. It's the chance to take a lead role in one area whilst also broadening out to support the other two.
THE ROLE:
- Reviewing and challenging key aspects like Recovery Plans, ICAAP, and stress testing processes
- Conduct assurance reviews and oversee the accuracy of management information, regulatory reporting, risk controls, and policy implementation
- Contribute to setting Capital Risk Appetite, reviewing strategic initiatives, and assessing their impact on capital and resolvability
- Conduct diverse data analyses including for capital, climate risk and resolvability evaluations
- Prepare financial risk reports for Executive and Board Risk Committees. This includes extensive stakeholder engagement
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Strong academic background, ideally with a Russell group STEM or Financial degree
- Strong analytical skills, with advanced Excel and ideally experience in Python or SQL. Training and development can be provided in SQL and Python
- Experience in a 1st, 2nd or 3rd line role covering capital risk, resolvability or climate risk
- Good energy with a curious nature with the desire to learn and progress
- Adaptability and willingness to get stuck into new challenges
