Are you looking for an opportunity to join a team of Data Scientists in building optimisation algorithms from scratch using different Python libraries; NumPy, SciPy & Pandas - if you have prior experience in optimisation this is the role for you!

THE COMPANY:

As a Data Scientist, you will have the chance to work for a leading retailer helping to make their supply chain within their warehouses more efficient. You will be working alongside both Data Scientists and the rest of the data team in planning different strategies in tackling this. As a Data Scientist you will be situated in a modern office in the heart of London.

THE ROLE:

As a Data Scientist you will be working within the operation team to help maintain different optimisation algorithms. As a Data Scientist you will be using Python including NumPy, SciPy and Pandas. As a Data Scientist you will also be involved in a greenfield project building different algorithms from scratch and therefore must be able to demonstrate how you have previously taken ownership of building algorithms. Any experience as a Data Scientist working in AWS is desirable as well as working with Dask.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

The successful Data Scientist will have the following skills and experience:

  • Extensive experience with Python and a good understanding of its libraries; Pandas, NumPy, SciPy
  • Commercial experience building optimisation algorithms
  • Good knowledge of AWS
  • Previously dealt with senior stakeholders
  • PHD in Computer Science or equivalent

The ideal candidate will have

  • Previous experience within the e-commerce industry
  • Exposure to Dask
