THE COMPANY
Harnham is partnering with a successful start-up that is building software tools for renewable energy. The company works with different clients in the greentech industry to provide insights and forecast demand using data science techniques. After receiving funding the company is looking for a data scientist who will work on their forecasting projects. In this role, you will have the opportunity to take ownership of projects and be hands-on with coding.
THE ROLE
As a data scientist, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Developing and building demand forecasting algorithms
- Build and deploy existing ML algorithm classes and provide insights into algorithm behavior
- Use statistical models techniques for model building
- Work closely with product, engineering and analytic teams to deliver data science solutions
- Collaborate and present projects to senior stakeholders
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Your requirements as a data scientist include:
- A degree in STEM subject (e.g Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, Artificial Intelligence or Mathematics)
- Experience building forecasting machine learning algorithms
- 2+ years of commercial data science experience
- Proficiency with Python, SQL, and ideally some understanding of AWS
- Experience working with senior stakeholders and delivering data science solutions
- Strong understanding of statistics and machine learning methods
