THE COMPANY:

Harnham is partnered with an exciting travel company who are centralising data into the core of the business, starting with a huge data migration into AWS. They are currently looking for a Data engineering manager to lead the team and drive best practice, data centred decisions, and upskilling within the team. They company emphasises the importance of promoting its great culture throughout its company through diversity and inclusion.

THE ROLE:

As a Data Engineering Technical Lead, you will lean strongly on your previous technical experience as a Data Engineer to lead the team and implement data driven decisions. You will Utilise your prior commercial experience to provide business solutions to stake holders. The role sits around 70% Managerial and 30% technical where you will utilise your current skills within Python, AWS and Spark.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

The Ideal Data Engineering Manager will have:

• Prior commercial experience as a Data Engineer
  * High Proficiency working within Python and AWS
  * Extensive Managerial Experience leading a team of 3 people minimum
  * High ability to use spark
  * Prior experience working with data bricks

THE BENEFITS:

The successful Data Engineer will receive a salary of £80,000 – £90,000, dependent on experience. On top of the salary, a successful candidate will receive equity in the company and flexibility of working in a flexible environment.
