BI Analyst

Hybrid, 3x per week in office, Warrington

An exciting opportunity for a BI Analyst has opened up at a major niche sporting retailer, who is looking to establish a strong BI team and migrate their reports to Power BI.

The Company

The company is Europe’s largest retailer of specific sporting equipment and apparel, with 93 stores across the UK and Ireland. They have recently undergone some internal restructuring, and this standalone role now sits in the Financial Planning and Analytics department.

The company is incredibly collaborative and has big plans to grow out the analytics function moving forward, so there are great opportunities for early success and career progression. Currently, there is a third-party agency that has built out the data warehouse and has begun to process of migrating from SSRS to Power BI.

The role and responsibilities

• Assist in the Power BI migration
• Develop and maintain Power BI reports
• Ad hoc day-to-day reporting on Sales supporting business decisions
• Developing and maintaining ETL processes

Your skills and experience

• Experience with Power BI and SQL
• Experience with OLAP BI database
• Proficiency in MS Office and MS Excel
• Experience with ETL development
• Experience in the retail or e-commerce industry

This is a stand-alone role, reporting into the Head of Financial Planning & Analytics.

THE ROLE

• The role is varied on a day-to-day, the responsibilities can be broad
• Help with the SSRS Migration to Power BI
• Developing and maintaining Power BI reports
• Adhoc day-to-day reporting on sales to support business decisions
• Developing and maintaining ETL processes
• Working with senior stakeholders across the business, including the CFO

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

The successful candidate will have…

• 2+ years experience in a BI-related role
• Exceptional Power BI skills
• SQL experience
• SSIS and SSRS experience
• ETL experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Stakeholder management experience
