Data has become embedded in the business and now they are looking to begin preparing for a large transformation project going from on-prem to the cloud.

• Lots of products and solutions – this person needs to come in discuss what has worked previously and build solutions to their problems

Lead Software Engineer (Python)

London – Hybrid

Up to £100,000 + 15% Bonus

OVERVIEW

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Lead software engineer to join a globally known company that operates in a variety of industries. Being in this software engineering team within a massive organization will still allow you to have complete autonomy over your own work as well as be part of a massive greenfield project with many other talented engineers. This role will also allow you to work very closely with data scientists and machine learning engineers whilst remaining solely focused on software engineering. THE ROLE

In this lead engineering role, you will:

· Creating training and scoring pipelines on GCP

· Productionising model training and scoring code from data scientists’ notebooks

· Optimising pipelines to ensure they are scalable and performant

· Developing and supporting APIs that serve model outputs

· Writing robust unit and integration tests

· Helping to architect systems to ensure they are re-usable and extensible

SKILLS AND EXPERTISE

To qualify for these python engineering roles you must have:

· Expert programming in python

· Commercial cloud experience

· Commercial experience with Docker

SALARY

In this role, you could earn up to £100,000 + 15% Bonus + Many more benefits.

A major telecommunications company is looking for a Data Engineer to join them and assist with their migration to AWS.

The Company

An exciting opportunity for a Senior Data Engineer, or an experienced Data Engineer looking for their next career step, has opened up in a major telecommunications company. This B-Corp company provides their own network, mobile phones, e-commerce business, and portal to consumers.

As a Senior Data Analyst, you’ll be ingesting rich data sets into a Snowflake data warehouse and supporting product teams to take on the data engineering tech stack, as well as liaising with the Business Intelligence and Data Science teams to generate requirements and workflows.

The Role and Responsibilities

• Develop an AWS infrastructure to commence migration to AWS
• Implement event-driven architecture (Kafka)

This leading telecom company is looking for a passionate Senior Software engineer to join their team. They have expanded to help them with their exciting greenfield projects and now need some more support. They are focused on digital transformation and building out progressive data products.

The Role

As a senior developer in this role, you will sit within the data science sector. If you have an interest in this industry, then this role is for you! The role will be based on their work and trying to ensure they can complete their work.

Your other responsibilities will be:

• Building models for data scientists use
• Using GCP to produce pipelines
• Developing API’s and forming integration test
• Rearchitecting systems to help maintain systems and make them re-usable
• Leading a team to complete targets,
• Conducting performance reviews
• Helping build individual performance plans.

Skill/Experience

The ideal candidate will have expertise in Python, Docker, Kubernetes and SQL. If you have experience working with systems designs and writing APIS then this is the ideal roll for you. Its also a bonus to have knowledge in cloud computing best practices.
