We’re passionate about learning and development at Harnham. We are committed to giving you the best training in the industry and have training pathways at all levels from Recruitment Consultant to Director.

We offer a market leading graduate programme, that includes digital learning, practical workshops and desk coaching delivered by our Head of Learning and Development, as well as experienced managers from across the business. 

About the Graduate Programme

Our 2 year Graduate Programme is designed to take you from recruitment rookie to recruitment master in 24 months through a set of 15 recruitment and sales modules. After 2 years you’ll go onto our fast track program for experienced consultants, where you will have the option to consider team management or continue developing your career as a top biller.

Our training is bite size. In other words you'll learn enough skills and strategies to put into practice and won't be bombarded with PowerPoint slides! Our nurturing support, guidance and feedback will help you along your way.

What to Expect

Month 1

Your introduction to recruitment, with classroom based learning combined with desk based practical learning.

Month 2

Desk based training – with mostly a 180 focus on candidate screening, interviewing and working with a mentor to help your candidates through our client's recruitment processes.

Month 3

Once you’re comfortable working with candidates and are starting to understand your niche area of the market we’ll start introducing client based business development into your work plan.

Month 4

You’ll become a full 360 recruiter, working closing with your mentor and manager with ad hoc training on different areas as you progress.

And beyond..

Throughout your career at Harnham you will receive training as you develop. From more in depth training around topics like business development, counter offers or candidate management through to mentoring and management.

TRAINER SPOTLIGHT: Barum Jeffries

Barum Jeffries - Head of L&D

Barum is our Head of Learning and Development and is a specialist Sales & Leadership Trainer.

His background includes B2B and B2C sales and over 10 years in Learning and Development, having trained over 10,000 sales people to achieve maximum results.

A dynamic and passionate trainer, he uses a range proven methods such as neuro-science, sales structures and coaching to fast track your skill development.
