CSR and Charity

Harnham's CSR activities

CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility)

Harnham is driven by our shared beliefs, making a collaborative and rewarding working environment for all our employees. We establish our business as a Global Corporate Citizen through our Workforce and Social Investment. Corporate Social Responsibility allows us to create value for all our Partners and enhances employee’s skills and business relationships to assist with our global growth.

We believe that investing in a worthy cause is a key responsibility of the business community. Each year we choose a main charity to support and hold events throughout the year to raise as much money for them as possible. These include anything from weekly dress down Fridays to cake sales and Movember. We even donate a percentage of every fee we invoice to charity.

This year, our chosen charity is Hope & Homes for Children. In the past, we have given to MacMillan Cancer Research, Crisis (for the homeless), Jeans for Genes, Anaphylaxis UK, Shelter, and numerous others.

We encourage every employee to come up with their own ideas for charitable causes to support throughout the year. Everyone at Harnham is given one Charity Day annually to give back to the community. They can spend time with any charity that they wish to and are paid full pay for doing so!

In addition to this, we also have a ‘Give as you Earn’ scheme whereby employees can give to charity through payroll to make it even easier to support worthy causes.

Protecting the environment should no longer be the sole responsibility of the Government, and therefore we believe strongly about doing as much as we can for the environment.

Employees are encouraged to print double sided and we have recycling bins throughout the office for almost every type of waste. Our most recent recycling report showed that we saved over 34 trees and over 4 tonnes of CO2!

However, we don't rest on our laurels, and we are continually looking for ways to minimise our impact on the environment.
