Analytics Manager

£100,000-£120,000 (DOE)
UK - Fully Remote
Reports to: Head of Data

The company

This is a fast‑growing, product‑led consumer technology business operating in the online betting and gaming space, far from a legacy operator and closer in feel to a modern fintech app. The platform is built with a focus on user experience, engineering excellence, and data‑driven decision making. Backed by strong funding and ambitious growth plans, analytics plays a core role here in shaping strategy, product direction, and commercial performance.

Where you fit

You'll lead the Analytics function within a broader data organisation that's scaling over the next 12 months. You'll manage two analysts from day one, with scope to add BI/analytics headcount as the business grows. Your work will directly support senior stakeholders across Growth, Product, Trading, Commercial, and Finance, helping move the business from reactive reporting to proactive, self‑serve, insight‑driven decision making.

What you'll be doing

  • Lead and develop the analytics team; coach, review, and set a high bar for quality and clarity.
  • Translate ambiguous business problems into clear analytical questions, robust metrics, and decision‑ready outputs.
  • Act as a trusted analytics partner to senior stakeholders, guiding prioritisation and aligning initiatives with business goals.
  • Establish and maintain best practices across definitions, documentation, testing, version control, and modelling standards.
  • Work closely with Data Engineering on data availability, modelling boundaries, and long‑term scalability; balance pace with correctness.
  • Drive adoption of self‑serve analytics and build consistent, trusted metrics across the organisation.

Must‑have experience

Industry experience (required):

  • Experience in customer/commercial/product analytics in gambling, gaming, or online betting.

Stakeholder leadership:

  • Excellent communication with non‑technical business leaders; confidence pushing back, influencing, and managing expectations effectively.

Team leadership:

  • Experience managing analysts/analytics engineers; you set standards, review output, and elevate team capability.

Commercial & strategic impact:

  • Evidence of delivering insights that drove meaningful outcomes - revenue, retention, risk reduction, product improvements - not just dashboards.

Technical (required):

  • Advanced SQL and strong dashboarding experience (the business uses Omni, but Looker or other BI tools are absolutely fine).
  • Ability to critique data models, BI approaches, and analytical outputs with a quality‑first mindset.

Why this role

  • Real ownership: The Head of Data is stepping back from day‑to‑day; you'll run analytics, shape standards, and be the strategic partner to the business.
  • Impact over vanity: Help define trusted metrics, eliminate multiple versions of the truth, and drive better decisions at pace.
  • Growth path: As the data team scales, there's room to step into broader data leadership.

Compensation & working style

  • £100,000-£120,000 base salary
  • Fully remote (UK‑based) with flexible working
  • Inclusive, modern culture with strong support for career development
